Quote of the Day: Appreciation
"I know for sure that appreciating whatever shows up for you in life
changes your personal vibration. You radiate and generate more goodness
for yourself when you’re aware of all you have and not focusing on your
have-nots."

Quote of the Day: Have Faith
The payoff of having a little faith—that someone in need could truly use
your help; that a person you used to keep at arm's length could become a
friend—far outweighs the fear of feeling like a fool.

Quote of the Day: Inspiration
"In the midst of my skeptical, cynical, often pessimistic nature exists a
slender capacity to believe, if only temporarily, in a guiding, unseen
power, and whenever this happens, I go with it. That's what inspiration
is. You don't get it from the gods. You make it."

Quote of the Day: Love
| Love is not something we give or get; it
is something that we nurture and grow, a connection that can only be cultivated between two people when it exists within each one of them. — BrenĂ© Brown |

Quote of the Day: Change the World
If we can get to the place where we show up as our genuine selves and let each other see who we really are, the awe-inspiring ripple effect will change the world.

Quote of the Day: Trying
"Writing or making anything—a poem, a bird feeder, a chocolate cake—has self-respect in it. You're working. You're trying. You're not lying down on the ground, having given up."
— Sharon Olds

Quote of the Day: Dr. Wayne Dyer
"The real purpose of life is just to be happy—to enjoy your life. To get to a place where you're not always trying to get someplace else. So many people spend their lives striving, trying to be someplace that they're not, they never get to arrive."
— Dr. Wayne Dyer

Quote of the Day: Courage - by Debbie Ford
The greatest act of courage is to be and to own all of who you are—without apology, without excuses, without masks to cover the truth of who you are.

Spirituality - A Path to Self Discovery - Part 1
Spirituality refers to an ultimate or an alleged immaterial reality;[1] an inner path enabling a person to discover the essence of his/her being; or the "deepest values and meanings by which people live."[2] Spiritual practices, including meditation, prayer and contemplation, are intended to develop an individual's inner life; spiritual experience includes that of connectedness with a larger reality, yielding a more comprehensive self; with other individuals or the human community; with nature or the cosmos; or with the divine realm.[3] Spirituality is often experienced as a source of inspiration or orientation in life.[4] It can encompass belief in immaterial realities or experiences of the immanent or transcendent nature of the world.

A Love Letter - For Chris
I text: “I love you”
He responded: “I love us… we can be the perfect couple when
we want to be”
All these years, you have been there for me
My friend
My partner in crime
My lover
My business partner
My shoulder to cry on
My teacher
My buddy
My boyfriend
I always knew I loved you. But, when I fell, I fell hard.
When it happened, it really happened.
It’s crazy how it feels old, but its new. It feels like
forever, but that forever has already happened and now we are starting over.
My love is deep. But it’s hard.
Not hard to be with you, hard to be without you.
But, our lives are crazy. We are so busy. It’s so
complicated.
But everything still feels right. It feels like everything
will always be okay, from now on, as long as I have you.
It’s crazy how I feel for you.
Our love, what we have, it makes everything from my past
feel like a big blur.
It’s like I was lost in the forest or something… and you
finally found me and brought me home.
It’s like finally getting to that place you have been
searching for… but when you get there you realize that you have always been
there in your head.
The difference now is just that your heart finally found its
place.
My heart found its place with you and I am happy.
I am in love... with you...

Quote of the Day: Relationships
“No relationship is perfect, ever. There are always some ways you have to bend, to compromise, to give something up in order to gain something greater…The love we have for each other is bigger than these small differences. And that’s the key. It’s like a big pie chart, and the love in a relationship has to be the biggest piece. Love can make up for a lot.”

Quote of the Day: Dale Carnegie
When dealing with people, remember you are not dealing with creatures of logic, but with creatures of emotion, creatures bristling with prejudice, and motivated by pride and vanity.

Listen and Learn: Now Is the Time
Learning from everyone around you
You think you have something to give.... and you do
But it's not always about that
Look.
Listen.
Listen.
Listen!
LEARN from EVERYONE!
The bum.
The crazy.
The sad.
The needy.
The annoying.
The afraid.
The shy.
The lonely.
The angry.
Stop your voice.
Think.
Love.
Open your mind.
Allow.
Smile.
I learned a lot this year. I gave a lot. I took a LOT. I loved. I lost. I loved again. I broke. I gave up. I gave in. I let go. I held. I cried. I lost. I allowed. I forgot. I remembered...
And in the end, or at least in this place I find myself in now, I have learned:
Not to take everything so seriously.
To laugh at myself (an unbelievably hard thing for me to do).
To choose my battles.
To stay quiet when what I have to say is less important than the persons feelings I am saying it to.
That my opinion on things that relate to others beliefs are always irrelevant.

That advice is only received when requested and not to give
any unless asked.
Approach is everything - a defensive listener has a wall up.
When you want to confront someone about something tough - wait for the right
moment and ask nicely for communication.
To enjoy every single second I have with my kids - and
really REALLY see, hear and touch them.
Eye contact is SO important.
Hear people, listen and don't think about what you are going
to say next - but only about what they are saying to you.
And, wherever you find yourself now, love you, embrace you,
enjoy life... don't worry about what used to be or what might be. BE IN THE
NOW.
