My Thought of the Day
So, instead of just quoting other people – which I LOVE to do BTW (See tag cloud for "Quote of the day" of "Quote"), I decided it might be fun to start publishing "My thought of the day"… just something on my mind, simple.
Today's thought:
Learn to let go of "things". Release your attachment to them. Things are not who you are, things do not define you.
It's like the Kanye West song "All Falls Down" says:
"We buy our way out of jail, but we can't buy freedom
We'll buy a lot of clothes when we don't really need em
Things we buy to cover up what's inside"
Are you hiding behind your things? What would letting go mean to you? If you let go, would you find freedom? Could you be liberated? Could you see how things don't define who we are. Everything you need is already inside of you.
Practice releasing your connection to things. Give something away that you think of as valuable or sentimental to someone you know would appreciate it. See how that makes you feel. You may find that in the act of giving away something you thought you loved so much, you actually find more joy and love from the feeling you received by letting go and giving something to someone who needs it more than you than you would have by staying attached to that "thing".
Remember, we are all connected, we are all one; there is more than enough for everyone if we all give and share when we see others in need.
Let go. Give. Love.

Us
Lovely ones
They flutter
Your smile, your eyes, your laugh, your heart...
Tell me, when was the last time you gave in?
Breathless, speechless...
So many questions... so much fun discovering the answers...
The nights are getting cooler now
The air more crisp
I am aware, a change is stirring inside of me
I dream... am I awake? Am I sleeping?
I am in that place...
where dreams are reality and reality is a dream
where day is night and night is day
where weakness is strength
where every moment is bliss... every glance, every smile, every breath...
And you, you are in that place too
We... we are in that place...
You are me
I am you
We are one.
Searching for words... there are none
Words have not been written for what I feel
Words do not exist in this place
Heart pounding
A million years flash before my eyes
A reunion
Blissfully joyful
Full of gratitude
A heightened state of awareness
Positive vibrational pull
First times, so familiar
Sparks
They fly
But one... it embers inside of me
You ignited it
And each word you write, speak, feel, think... it fuels my fire
And I love it
I love how I feel
And it all makes sense now
The pieces of the puzzle...
But I am lost
I am lost in you
But I let myself go... and I am falling... deeper... longer... harder...
And I am finding myself in a pool of bliss
I look at the sky
I see the moon
I think of you
And suddenly I am flying... and I love flying in your wondrous sky
I didn’t realize I could get so high
Am I falling or flying?
Am I in you?
Are you in me?
Or are we one... already inside of each other...
Deep inside and yet so high...
Random has reason
Purpose
Perfect
I see
You see
We see
We are
We
Us

Elijah
Jenny Stradling MySpace blog
On September 21, 2007 - Friday
I wrote a poem for my new baby:
Elijah
In this new world, time does not exist
He sleeps, he eats, he sleeps...
His tiny fingers curl into his tiny little hands
I love him
I am in love with his every breath, his sweet baby faces, his curious eyes
He depends on only me
He needs me, but I need him
Soft new skin and milky baby breath...
I wonder what kind of things he will learn to love
Nothing matters now
Or, everything matters, but in a new way
He doesn`t care how I look, or if the house is clean
Pure, fresh innocence
We are in baby bliss
Awake and alert for a moment
I can`t look away
Kiss... kiss... kiss...
What do think about Baby?
Do you know Mommy loves you?
I want to soak in every moment
I can`t put him down
He gurgles and sighs
He is perfect
More kisses...
My body feeds him
God planned it this way
Mommy and baby, joined together
There are no words to express
Beautiful, beautiful baby
I love you...

Quote of the Day
— | Andre Maurois Jenny Hansen Stradling Like I tell my kids, YOU control how you feel... no one can make you mad, you can choose how you react, so if you are mad, it's your choice to be that way. You can also choose to be happy! The sooner we can all learn this, the easier life will be. Who cares what anyone else says/thinks about us anyways? Just choose happy and don't worry about the rest. |

"Never follow your passion, but by all means, bring it with you."
When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds; your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world.
Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far then you ever dreamed yourself to be.

i beg you.... to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. don`t search for the answers, which could not be given you now, because you would not be able to live them. and the point is... See More, to live everything. live the questions now. perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without ever noticing it, live your way into the answer...

Yin Yang
Yin Yang (in the West it's referred to as Yin and Yang) defined:
Yin-Yang. Yin corresponds to darkness, coldness, dampness and Earth; yang to light, warmth, dryness and Heaven. They are in constant conflict, but neither force can ever completely vanquish the other.
The two opposite energies in Chinese thought, from whose interaction and fluctuation the universe and its diverse forms emerge. They are the polar extremes of the unbounded Tao of the supreme and ultimate source (t'ai-chi) and from their intermingling arise the five elements (wu-hsing), which give rise to the myriad of forms, and to history and time. The yin-yang symbol expresses this interaction, the with the two spots (white in the dark, dark in the white) indicating that each of the two contains the seed of the other and is about to produce the replication of its opposite in interaction. All oppositions can be mapped onto yin and yang, yin representing e.g. the feminine, yielding, receptive, moon, water, clouds, even numbers, and the yang the masculine, hard, active, red, the sun, and odd numbers.
Two principles in Chinese philosophy and religion: yin represents a dark, negative, feminine figure, and yang symbolizes a positive, light, masculine figure. Together they are believed to influence the destinies of other people and things. Also, some refer to the dark segment as the autumnal equinox, the light section as the vernal equinox, the dark dot as the summer solstice, and the light dot as the winter solstice, thus representing the entire celestial phenomenon of seasons and the cycle of the sun.
I'm thinkin about getting a Yin Yang tattoo... anyone like any of the above? Have any ideas?

I Am Consciousness
Since the beginning of my 1st blog (you`re here: My Truth was my very 1st blog!) I have had the simple profile statement of:
"I am consciousness"
So what does that mean?
The typical person may say "consciousness" means we are aware of something, I am conscious of my body, thoughts, emotions, etc. Without realizing it at the time, I was actually tuning into a deeper meaning that I could only later begin to put into words. After years of studying, reading, loving and opening myself up to spiritual teachers and thought leaders such as: Eckhart Tolle, Tony Robbins, Dr. Louis Hay, Gandhi, Buddha, The Dalai Lama, Oprah Winfrey, Amma, Jesus Christ, Og Mandino and many, many more, I realized what consciousness really means…
Consciousness is the vast and infinite underlying foundation of the very form of awareness.
Of course understanding this meaning of consciousness and actually staying this present in the day to day moments of our lives are two different things. For most of us, experiencing true consciousness on this deeper level can be difficult as it does take serious effort. It`s about placing attention on the space, or the gap, between words and thoughts. It`s existing in the gap.
I think Eckhart Tolle put it beautifully when he said: "Discover inner space by creating gaps in the stream of thinking. Without those gaps, your thinking becomes repetitive, uninspired, devoid of any creative spark, which is how it still is for most people on the planet." In one of my favorite books, A New Earth, Eckhart Tolle suggests breath meditation to help bring that space into our lives. Because we generally breathe with no effort, when we become conscious of our own breath, we are absolutely present. Conscious breathing stops the process of thinking. We are not asleep in this state, we are more fully awake. This form of breath meditation offers space for true consciousness.
At least once a day I try to still my thoughts, close my eyes and for even just one moment quiet my thoughts and breath in consciousness. This quick exercise takes just a moment, but it reminds me of my own vast inner spaciousness and the ability within us all to tap into that greater divine power within the universe. Many times we go through life on auto pilot. It`s like our brains are pre programmed to move throughout our day to day lives that being present isn`t even necessary anymore. We get through each day without even realizing we`re not present. We drive down the street not even noticing the trees, the birds, the colors, the people. We go to work and push through each day without expressing true, deep feelings, without feeling the emotion of those around us, without seeing the eternal purpose behind the seemingly monotonous day to day tasks….
True consciousness brings awareness of ourselves and our surroundings as one. You can`t be conscious of something without participating in it. Being conscious, being deeply aware, means that you are seeing yourself in that thing. You are breaking the boundaries and seeing the "invisible" connection between you and everything/everyone around you. You are really participating in the deeper place of existence where objects, people, places, things don`t exist without purpose.
So, to say "I am consciousness" I am recognizing
that I am always in a state of total awareness, as we all are, and that all I have to do is tap into that conscious awareness to feel completely at peace.
Namaste.

Excerpt from the Poem: We Speak Your Names
We Speak Your Names…for the women in my life:
Because we are free women,
born of free women,
who are born of free women,
back as far as time begins,
we celebrate your freedom.
Because we are wise women,
born of wise women,
who are born of wise women,
we celebrate your wisdom.
Because we are strong women,
born of strong women,
who are born of strong women,
we celebrate your strength.
Because we are magical women,
born of magical women,
who are born of magical women,
we celebrate your magic.
My sisters, we are gathered here to speak your
names.
We are here because we are your daughters
as surely as if you had conceived us, nurtured us,
carried us in your wombs, and then sent us out
into the world to make our mark
and see what we see, and be what we be, but better,
truer, deeper
because of the shining example of your own
incandescent lives.
We are here to speak your names
because we have enough sense to know
that we did not spring full blown from the
forehead of Zeus,
or arrive on the scene like Topsy, our sister once
removed, who somehow just growed.
We know that we are walking in footprints made
deep by the confident strides
of women who parted the air before them like the
forces of nature that you are.
We are here to speak your names
because you taught us that the search is always for
the truth
and that when people show us who they are, we
should believe them.
We are here because you taught us
that sisterspeak can continue to be our native
tongue,
no matter how many languages we learn as we
move about as citizens of the world
and of the ever-evolving universe.
We are here to speak your names
because of the way you made for us.
Because of the prayers you prayed for us.
We are the ones you conjured up, hoping we
would have strength enough,
and discipline enough, and talent enough, and
nerve enough
to step into the light when it turned in our
direction, and just smile awhile.
We are the ones you hoped would make you
proud
because all of our hard work
makes all of yours part of something better, truer,
deeper.
Something that lights the way ahead like a lamp
unto our feet,
as steady as the unforgettable beat of our collective
heart.
We speak your names.
We speak your names.

Lost by David Wagoner
Stand still. The trees ahead and bushes beside you
Are not lost. Wherever you are is called Here,
And you must treat it as a powerful stranger,
Must ask permission to know it and be known.
The forest breathes. Listen. It answers,
I have made this place around you.
If you leave it, you may come back again, saying Here.
No two trees are the same to Raven.
No two branches are the same to Wren.
If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you,
You are surely lost. Stand still. The forest knows
Where you are. You must let it find you.

Believe in:
... a community of faith and hope
... a beautiful new beginning, a new chance
... forgiveness
... truth... YOUR truth
... unlimited possibilities
... the good of mankind
... the perfect opportunity
... your freedom to choose
I believe I will get through the hard times. I believe I will reach my goals. I believe I will fulfill my dreams. I believe people are good. I believe that love flows to me when I give love. I believe that if I forgive others, I can be forgiven. I believe that the past is gone and that today is all that matters. I believe that nothing is impossible. I believe nothing is as it seems. I believe you can`t see with your eyes, you can only really see with your heart. I believe I have a sixth sense. I believe I know what is right. I believe I have a good heart. I believe I have a lot to give. I believe I can help people. I believe every word you speak has a rippling effect that lasts forever in time. I believe thoughts become reality. I believe everything has a purpose, so everything really happens for a reason. I believe you have a choice, you choose how to feel. I believe we create our own purpose. I believe you can only see yourself for who you really are once you`re willing to accept yourself as you are right now. I believe people can change. I believe it`s okay to follow your own heart. I believe you can`t judge people because you never really know. I believe in leaving some questions unanswered. I believe we are all part of one greater being. I believe that one person can change the world. I believe that you are important. I believe you have purpose in my life. I believe you have the power to change the world. I believe in you. I believe in me.
I believe.

Love One Another....
LoriMoreno
I just love life. I mean, you know, I love every second of it. I love people. ~Richard Branson #quote
Made me think. Why don`t more people love each other? It`s like every time I talk to someone it`s about who they hate, what their stupid ___________ <----- insert boss, spouse, friend, co-worker, even children did... I hear people talk more fondly about their dog than they do about their own husband!
Anyways, I think we should all just try and love each other a little more and STOP HATE. Everyone is having a hard time, everyone is going through something, everyone makes mistakes.... everyone needs love.
If one thing good came out of the Bible it was this quote, Jesus says, this is my new commandment, "Love one another"... My Aunt Jan and I sang this song at my Grandpas funeral...
Whether you believe in religion, karma, the pull of the universe or even just hate watching the news because of the hurt and hate... then you know this: People need people. The world needs more love and less hate. Peace starts with US!
I believe in a new Earth... do you? Join with me, spread the word:
LOVE EACH OTHER
I think John Lennon said it best when he wrote Imagine:
"You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one..."

My Hidden Passion Number and Reading…
Sooooo, I got this free offer from tarot.com to get a personality number reading sample…. This is what it said:
Your Hidden Passion Number is 5
You love travel, change, and new challenges. You are highly adaptable and versatile. You have a talent for languages, and are generally good with words. Writing, promotion, and public relations work suit you perfectly.
You are sensual and a bit impulsive. You love to satisfy your senses, which can get you into trouble. Overindulgence in food, drink, sex, and drugs are common among people with too many 5s -- six or more.
You are resourceful and original. You have a good sense of humor and a quick tongue.
Your desire for freedom is extremely strong and it will take effort and discipline to stick with whatever it is you started. There is a tendency to give up a project or situation prematurely.
You may be interested in too many things, which can make it hard for you to apply yourself to one area successfully.
You are very unconventional.
Commitment in relationships and your work is fundamental to your happiness. You may have a tendency to wander from person to person, job to job, making depth of relationship or deep expertise difficult.
Pretty dead on, right??
P.S. My fav # is 5!
